How to find what's going viral on TikTok

TikTok engagement rate formula
We use (likes + comments + shares + saves) ÷ views. TikTok does not print this on the grid. A 2M-view video with 40k likes is not the same as a 200k-view video with 40k likes — the second one is actually working. Color badges flag the difference so you stop doing the math by hand. Run the numbers on one video, then overlay the same formula on a Search or tag grid.
A 2.5% ER is typically average-to-solid on larger pages and on the weak side for small ones. The more useful number is the page-median multiplier: ×1.7 is outperforming this grid even if the raw ER looks modest.
Third-party TikTok analytics vs TikTok Studio
TikTok Studio is the right tool for your own account: audience demographics, traffic sources, Live and Shop. A third-party overlay is the right tool when you need a post-level read on Search results or a hashtag you do not own, without leaving tiktok.com. We do not replace Studio. We do not collect browsing history. The extension reads in-memory React state in your browser and never sends TikTok page data to our servers.

How is engagement rate calculated?
(likes + comments + shares + saves) ÷ views. TikTok does not print this on the grid. Compare each post to the median ER of videos loaded on that page.
What does the page median mean?
Median of the videos currently loaded on that Search, tag, Explore, or profile grid. ×1.7 is above this page’s typical views; ×0.4 is below. It is not a network fetch of a creator’s full history.
Does this replace TikTok Studio?
No. Studio is correct for your own audience, traffic sources, Live, and Shop. TT Stats is for finding videos taking off on public grids without leaving tiktok.com.
How does the extension get the numbers?
It reads client-side React props TikTok already loaded to render the grid. It does not send video or browsing data to our servers. It does not poll TikTok in the background; new cards update as they appear.
Is my TikTok account safe?
The extension is read-only. It does not log into TikTok, does not touch TikTok cookies, and does not run when you leave tiktok.com.
What does auto-scroll do?
